That fee covers the whole band from KSh 101 to KSh 500, and already includes the 20% excise duty. To M-PESA users, Pochi la Biashara, Business Till to Customer, Airtel Money and T-Kash.
At KSh 501 the fee jumps from KSh 7 to KSh 13. You have KSh 0 of headroom before that.
The fee shown on your M-PESA confirmation screen is the final charge. Safaricom can revise tariffs after notice, and did so for merchant tariffs on 7 August 2026 — if the screen differs from this figure, cancel and check.
